2 days agoSecurity and trust are the foundation of successful referral marketing, and we’re thrilled to introduce our latest enhancement to support this: SMS-based phone verification. This new feature is now available in Campaign Rules, giving your team the ability to require phone number verification for both Advocates and Friends before they participate in the referral program.
With just a few clicks, you can now activate two simple settings – one for Advocates and one for Friends. When enabled, participants must provide their phone number and complete a quick SMS verification process. This extra layer of authentication helps prevent fraudulent activity and ensures your rewards are going to real, verified users.
How It Works:

For Advocates:
Once phone number gating and verification are enabled, Advocates are asked to enter their phone number and verify it with a 4-digit code received via SMS before accessing the Share Page. -
For Friends:
After clicking a referral link, Friends are directed to an Email Gating page where they must also enter and verify their phone number before receiving their reward coupon. Even if Friends are coming from a referral email, they’ll still need to complete this secure verification step, ensuring consistent protection across all entry points.
This feature gives brands more control, builds trust with customers, and protects your referral program from fraudulent abuse. It’s a small step for users and a giant leap for program security.
