Stronger Fraud Protection: Blocking Temporary Email Domains

We’re excited to introduce a powerful update that enhances fraud prevention and protects the integrity of referral campaigns across the Talkable platform. Many clients have expressed concerns about the use of temporary (disposable) email addresses — often associated with fraudulent activity, including reward abuse and fake account signups.

Previously, there was no automatic way to block these domains, allowing users to exploit promotions using disposable emails to share or claim rewards.

Here’s what’s new:

• A global blocklist of known temporary email domains is now enforced across the platform
• Users with disposable emails cannot participate in referral sharing or reward claiming — making campaigns more secure and reliable

This update significantly reduces the risk of abuse and helps maintain the quality of your user data, ensuring your campaigns reward real, engaged customers.
