Until now, Talkable only captured a slice of what Shopify knows about each order. The purchase channel — online storefront, POS terminal, subscription, app — wasn’t stored independently. Payment gateway data and order tags were lost at ingestion. If you wanted to understand whether a referred purchase came from in-store or online, you were stuck with workarounds.
We’ve introduced dedicated Shopify order data tracking. Talkable now stores key Shopify order attributes in their own table, alongside your standard referral data — no custom integrations required.
Here’s what you can do:
- Filter purchases in the Purchase report by channel — distinguish online orders from POS and offline transactions
- See which payment gateway was used on each referred order
- Use Shopify order tags as a filter or segmentation layer in your reporting
- Access all of this without any changes to your existing setup — current reports and traffic source mapping are unaffected
